Annual Yard Contest

This contest is a long-time resident favorite! Residents self identify or are nominated by neighbors. External judges are acquired through community partnerships and they score homes curb appeal. The top three scores win prizes and notoriety.

The yard contest’s primary focus is to increase community engagement in a fun way and to shed light on the number of beautiful homes in the neighborhood. We hope by doing so it will encourage more residents to take pride in their own outdoor spaces which will increase property values.

Community Cleanup.

A group of neighbors gather together on the second Saturday of every month from April - October to pickup the trash in the neighborhood. Specifically 56th St. and Old Colony Rd.

Beautification Projects

Our passionate Beautification Committee brought back to life our overgrown entryway with the help of grants received from Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center.

We adopted our block!

Brendon Park partnered with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful (KIB) as our commitment to ensuring Brendon Park remains a beautiful place to live.

Fundraisers.

Funds raised through these efforts help offset the cost of buying materials, supplies, printing, supporting our other community programs and many other things to keep our neighborhood thriving.
